Our story and our team
K9 Kibble grew from one family’s search for better food into a neighborhood store where useful guidance belongs to the whole team.
The beginning
Nicole adopted Precious in 2002. Over time, Precious developed recurring skin, coat and stomach problems. After more than a year of research, Nicole discovered that corn in her food was contributing to the problem.
Precious changed to Fromm Whitefish & Potato, a Wisconsin-made food without corn, wheat or soy. The improvement was almost immediate—but the product was not available from an independent Kenosha retailer.
Nicole decided local families should have access to better options and someone willing to help them understand those options. K9 Kibble opened April 3, 2013.
Today, the mission is bigger than any one person. The team learns the products, shares what it knows and builds relationships that customers can rely on from visit to visit.
Start by listening to the family and understanding what they observe at home.
Carry products the team can explain and stand behind instead of chasing endless selection.
Customers should be able to form a trusted relationship with every prepared team member.
